Indu and Mukund first met at Madras Christian College. Their relationship was nothing if not complicated. Especially when Mukund enrolled in the army and the couple lived apart for 4 tortuous years. Eventually the couple married and had a daughter. And then in April 2014 Mukund fell in the line of duty.

Each year dozens of families are wrenched asunder as men and women fall in their mission to serve India. This is one of many many stories.
